Gastroenterologists are board certified in Internal Medicine, and have additional training and certification in gastroenterology. Gastroenterologists are specialists in endoscopy (upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and PillCam wireless capsule endoscopy).

Common conditions treated by gastroenterologists include abdominal pain, bloating, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), acid reflux (GERD), celiac disease, detection of polyps and cancer, rectal bleeding and disorders of the gallbladder. Dr. Treyzon has additional expertise in nutrition and weight management.

Endoscopy involves the use of very thin, flexible tubes with tiny built-in lights and video cameras to view inside the digestive tract. We perform minimally invasive interventions like removal of polyps or detection of bleeding and infections.
